About us

Who is behind Advocate360.

Advocate360 is made by the people behind Life Skills Advocate, an executive function coaching company in Kent, Washington. We have been coaching neurodivergent teens, college students, and adults since 2019, and we built this out of that work.

Inspired by people like you.

Why we built it

The coaching came first. The software came out of it.

Chris Hanson taught special education, then started Life Skills Advocate in 2019 to coach executive function one to one. The coaching is still running, and the coaches kept hitting the same wall: everything you know about a person sits in an assessment, an old IEP, a notes app, and your own memory, in four different places, and very little of it turns into something you can hand someone this week.

So we built the part that was missing. One profile per person, an executive function assessment that reads back as strengths first, and goals, strategies, and printable materials that come from what is already in that profile.

The four people below built it, and a group of beta testers ran it before launch. Several of us are neurodivergent ourselves.

The people

Inspired by people like you.

A special education teacher, a school psychologist, a BCBA, and the developer who put it together. Here is who they are.

Chris Hanson

Founder

Special education teacher before he was a coach, and the founder of Life Skills Advocate. He has ADHD, and Advocate360 is the tool he wanted while he was coaching.

Joe Coleman

Product and technology

Builds the product. Dad, ADHDer, and the person who turns what the coaches need into something that runs.

Jennifer Schmidt

School psychologist

School psychologist and writer. Much of the written material behind the goals and strategies in the app came from her work.

Amy Sippl

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

BCBA, and the author of a large part of the executive function material Life Skills Advocate publishes, which is where the strategy and worksheet library started.
