Goal Generator

Draft measurable goals grounded in the whole person.

A measurable goal drafted from the profile you have already built: the strengths, challenges, motivators, and the executive function assessment. It shows how it got there, so you can keep or change every word.

The problem

Why writing good goals takes so long

A goal has to fit one specific person and hold up when someone reads it later. That is real work, and it usually starts from a blank page.

The blank page is the slow part

You know the person well. Turning that into a goal that is specific, measurable, and worded to hold up, starting from nothing, is where the time goes.

A goal bank doesn't fit the person

A goal pulled from a bank is written for no one in particular, so you usually end up rewriting it to match the person in front of you.

The reasoning gets lost

Months later it is hard to remember what a goal was based on, which makes it harder to explain in a meeting or adjust as the person changes.

How it works

See the Goal Generator in action

Follow one goal with Jordan, the sample profile in your trial, from a one-sentence ask to a measurable goal you can refine and download.

1

Start from what you already know

Describe what you want the goal to focus on in a sentence, and choose whether to include short-term steps. The draft is built from the profile you have already filled in.

2

Get a measurable goal, with short-term steps

The draft comes back as a single, measurable goal written to a clear SMART structure, plus short-term steps when you ask for them.

3

And it shows its work

The How This Goal Was Created panel lays out how the background, strengths, challenges, motivators, and the assessment each shaped the wording.

4

Refine it in your words, or delete it and start again

Ask for a change in your own words, or use a quick refinement. It stays a draft in the profile until you download it.

The Refine Goal tab, with room for your own words or a one-tap refinement.
What makes it different

It starts from the person, not a template

It starts from the person you already know, shows its reasoning, and leaves every decision with you.

Grounded in one real profile

Each goal is drawn from the profile, its strengths, challenges, and motivators, and the executive function assessment, so it fits this person instead of a generic template.

It shows its reasoning

The How This Goal Was Created panel traces the goal back to the profile and the assessment, so you can see why it says what it says, and explain it in a meeting or adjust it later.

You make every call

Refine any draft in your own words, use a quick refinement, or delete it. A goal stays a draft in the profile until you download it as a PDF or an editable DOCX, so you keep the final say.

How we handle privacy and AI

What happens with the information you enter, and who stays in charge of what the AI drafts.

Privacy

Privacy-first, FERPA‑aware

De-identified by design
Each profile is its own record. Designed for de-identified use. We recommend initials or nicknames for profiles. You decide what identifying information, if any, goes in.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we don't sell or rent profile or user data.
Responsible AI

Humans stay in charge

A drafting assistant, not a decision-maker
AI output lands as a draft. You can edit, dismiss, or refine anything it produces before you use it.
Transparent & private
We show how each draft was shaped. Advocate360 uses Anthropic's Claude models through Anthropic's business API, where data is not used to train the models and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days in the ordinary course.

FAQ

Goals & drafting questions

What does the Goal Generator do?

It drafts a clear, measurable goal from the person's profile and executive function assessment, plus short-term steps toward it when you want them.

Do I have to upload an IEP to draft goals?

No. Goals draw on the profile and the executive function assessment, so uploading an IEP or notes is optional.

If I upload an IEP or notes, what happens?

Advocate360 pulls the text into the profile and uses it to inform the draft, and the How This Goal Was Created panel shows what the goal drew on.

Can it draft both the goal and the steps?

Yes. You choose when you create the goal: include short-term steps, or draft the goal on its own. When you include them, the steps come back numbered under the goal.

Can it suggest accommodations?

The suggestions come from the executive function assessment, which recommends accommodations and also informs the goal draft. You can carry them into any goal.

How will I know what information it used when drafting a goal?

Drafted goals include a How This Goal Was Created panel that lays out how the background, strengths, challenges, motivators, and the executive function assessment each shaped it.

Are goals written to a clear structure?

Yes. Goals are drafted to a SMART structure, and you can refine any draft until it reads the way you want.

Can I write goals without formal IEP language?

Yes. Goals are drafted to a measurable structure rather than any one district template, and you can refine the wording to match how your team writes.
