How do I create a goal?

Open Goals from the profile, choose Create New Goal, and describe what you want the goal to be about in your own words. Advocate360 writes it from there.

  1. Open the profile, then Goals.
  2. Choose Create New Goal.
  3. Under Goal instructions, say what the goal should be about. Plain words are enough: "improve time management" or "strategies for handling frustration during hard tasks".
  4. Choose whether you want short-term steps. Yes gives you 3 to 5 measurable steps that build toward the goal; no gives you the goal on its own.
  5. Read what comes back. If the wording is not right, the Refine Goal tab is how you change it.

What it writes from

The goal is built from what the profile already holds: assessment results, the About section, and any notes. A fuller profile gives you a goal that needs less editing.

Decide about short-term steps before you generate. Steps cannot be added to a goal afterwards yet, so getting them now saves recreating the goal later.
