How do I track progress on a goal?
There is no tick-box on a goal or its steps yet. What the product records instead is notes you write on the profile, a timeline of what has happened, and the change in assessment scores when you run one again.
What you can use today
- Notes. Open the profile, go to About, and use the Add a note box. This is the usual place to record what was tried and what happened. If you use Advocate360 for yourself, the same notes live under About on your own profile.
- The Timeline, under About, at the foot of the recent-activity panel: choose View full timeline. It lists what has happened on the profile in order: notes, uploads, completed assessments, goals and materials, and can be filtered to one of those.
- The progress chart under Assessments, which charts the skill areas once two assessments are complete.
What is not there yet
A goal has no status, and a short-term step cannot be ticked off, so the goal page looks the same in week one and week ten. If you want a visible record of movement, it has to go in a note or in a second assessment.
Running the assessment again is the closest thing to a progress measure, because it compares the same questions against the same skill areas. Can I run the assessment again later? covers what makes the two comparable.
