Why does the invite say a different address?
Because you are signed in to Advocate360 with a different email address from the one the invitation was sent to. Sign out, sign in with the invited address, and the invitation still works.
An invitation is tied to the exact address the admin typed. Opening it while signed in to a different account shows a page naming both addresses, with a Sign out and continue button. The invitation is not used up by this, so it still works afterwards.
- Choose Sign out and continue.
- Sign in with the invited address, then choose Accept Invite.
- If that address has no account yet, fill in the short form on the same page and choose Create Account & Join Team.
If you would rather use your other address
Ask the admin to revoke the pending invitation on the Team page and send a new one to the address you want to use. That is quicker than moving accounts around.
Work saved under the other account
Profiles you made while signed in as the other address stay on that account. They do not follow you into the team. (Profiles on the account you accept with do come with you.) The contact box at the bottom of this page reaches the people who can move them across for you.
Invitations expire after seven days. An expired one says so, and an admin can send another.
