How do I add a profile?
Open Profiles and choose Add Profile. A name is the only thing you have to give; date of birth and grade are optional. The new profile opens as soon as you add it.
- Open Profiles.
- Choose Add Profile, at the top of the list. On a phone the same button reads Add.
- Under Name or Identifier, type what you want to call this person. It is the only field you have to complete.
- Add a date of birth and a grade if you have them. Both are optional, and both can be filled in later from Edit profile.
- Choose Add Profile. The new profile opens straight away.
What to call it
A nickname or initials is enough, and it keeps the profile holding as little identifying information as it can. If you are setting one up for a school, that also keeps the record de-identified under FERPA. You can rename a profile later from the menu beside its name.
