How do I delete my account?
On a personal account, or if you run a team, open Account and choose Delete My Account: it cannot be undone, and it ends a plan of your own straight away. If somebody else invited you into their team, ask them to remove you instead, because the card is not on your Account page.
These steps are for a personal account, and for the person who runs a team. If you were invited into somebody else’s team, skip to the section below about that.
- Open Account, from the menu under your name.
- Go to the Delete Account card, below the plan and billing cards.
- Choose Delete My Account, then confirm in the box that opens.
What it removes
Your account, the profiles in it, and the goals, assessments, strategies, materials, notes, saved worksheets and share links attached to those profiles. It cannot be undone, and we cannot bring an account back afterwards, so download anything you want to keep before you start. If you have bought a workbook here, that purchase is tied to the account too: download the files first, because the account cannot be brought back to reach them again and the Terms offer no refund. If you have already deleted your account and missed a download, tell us below and we will help.
If you are paying for a plan
Deleting the account ends the plan on the spot rather than at the end of the period you have paid for, and there is no refund for the time left on it. To stop the payments and keep your work, cancel instead. Cancelling leaves the account and everything in it where it is.
If you joined a team that somebody else runs
The Delete Account card is not on your Account page, and there is no way to remove yourself from the team either. Both of those belong to the person who runs the team, because they invited you into it and the work in it is shared. Ask your team administrator to remove you. They can do it from their Team page, and it takes them a moment.
If you cannot reach them, or you would rather not ask, tell us below and we will contact them for you. The profiles you created stay with the team either way: they pass to a team administrator, who can hand them to another member.
If you run the team
The card is on your Account page. Deleting takes you out of the team rather than closing the team down, so the team and its work carry on. If you are the team's only administrator, the app asks you to pass that role to somebody else first, so the team is not left without one.
